Drilling Deep For Productivity

Project Category: Oil & Gas
Client: ExxonMobil

Strategic engagement with stakeholders, communications advocacy and crisis management for a leading Oil and Gas Company.

The dependence of several governments on Oil and Gas, including Nigeria, ensures energy discussions remain national conversations. With the many challenges and fractious relationships with neighbouring communities, it is critical for organizations within the oil and gas industry to articulate thoughtful messages, at the right time and across appropriate channels. We understand both the challenges and the opportunities companies face in the oil industry.

ExxonMobil is the largest publicly traded international oil and gas company, operating to the highest standards of financial and technical excellence, business ethics, safety, health and environmental awareness. Operating across 180 countries and territories globally, ExxonMobil operates in Nigeria through its affiliate companies. The company produces natural gas liquids from the Oso Natural Gas Liquids project and the East Area Natural Gas Liquids project 2.

OUR SOLUTIONS

Over the course of many years, Caritas worked with ExxonMobil on multiple projects including Project Candid, which focus was to source and conduct research, test and evaluate opinions and deploy programmes and strategies to enhance relations between ExxonMobil, her host communities, the government, and other relevant stakeholders.

OUR RESULTS

Caritas developed and coordinated strategic media and communications activities which significantly strengthened ExxonMobil’s reputation with stakeholders and led to perception shift from positive to favourably positive.
