His managerial career started as Geology Computer Applications Manager in Total’s Technical & Scientific Centre in Pau, France followed by his appointment as Onshore Interpretation & Exploration Information Systems Manager in 1997. He rose to the position of Executive Director in 2007 and retired into private enterprise in January 2012. Over the years, John Addeh has had extensive development in General Management, Human Resources Management, CSR Management and Crisis Communication. He established several world-class models, policies and processes in the various disciplines he has led. He is an alumnus of London Business School, INSEAD in France and IMD in Switzerland. He was Chairman of Board of Total’s Pension Fund (2009-2011) and Chairman of the Governing Board of the Institute of Petroleum Studies, Port Harcourt (2009-2012).
A member of several professional associations, John Addeh has won several professional awards. He is a Fellow of Nigerian Mining &Geosciences Society, a Fellow of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists and a Fellow of the Institute of Petroleum Studies. His hobbies include Reading and Writing, The Arts, Philanthropy, Golf and Swimming. He is married with two children.

Various aspects of Oil and Gas Exploration up to Asset Management; Creation, projection and management of the philosophy, policies, procedures and practices for Human Resources, Public Affairs and Corporate Communication, Corporate Social Responsibility, General Management of the Abuja location of Total Upstream in Nigeria. He also had overall responsibility for the company’s ICT, Medical and Diversity functions. He participated in the Strategic Management of Total’s Upstream Companies in Nigeria as a member of the company’s Executive Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of Total E&P from 2007 till January 2012.
Current focus areas include Corporate Management, Change and Crisis Management, Leadership Development, Cross-Culture and Integration Management, media impact analysis and advisory, CSR Management, HR Policy Advisory, Public Policy Analysis.
